At least three times a day, I have to drop everything at a moments notice and take my car-chasing beagle outside. They always say that having a dog is good for the soul, and I have to agree. The cuddles and doggie kisses are nice, but for me, it is the forced downtime. The time when my dog is peeing on coyote poop or digging a mouse nest under the snow, that I can stop and just see the weeds, wildflowers and clouds that I would otherwise not even notice.

This series is still in it’s beginning stages, and like everything I do, I have no idea where it will take me. But in a few hours I will be outside again, standing still while my dog follows his nose.
